Ante-natal classes

Monday 8th October

We had our first ante-natal class this evening and we both found it really useful and informative. There are a mix of people on the course of different nationalities and 11 couples in total, so some different opinions and ideas about pregnancy and birth which is good. There are also one set of twins and one set of triplets due so that should be interesting come the new year!

We learnt about all the stages of labour and what to do come d-day which was good and watched "the video!!". Definitely making things seem more real now, although in a bizarre way made us look forward to January a bit more - knowledge is power i guess!!

From chatting to everyone there we seem to be slightly different in that a) we do not know the sex of baby and b) we are planning a natural delivery whereas everyone else is leaning towards epidurals and c-sections. Also think that i have quite a small bump for my dates - not sure if this is good or bad! There are 6 classes in total and really looking forward to the rest of them now.
