Tuesday 18th September
We had our obs appointment this morning and all went well. We heard the heartbeat for the first time which was really nice and reassuring and bubs measured spot on for 23 weeks - I am such a teacher, as my response is always "Oh that's another test passed!!"
We also checked the measurements from the 20 week scan as we knew everything was okay but we were not sure what they had measured. The 2 measurements that were at 22 weeks were babies thigh bones and arm between shoulder and elbow, so a long baby - not following the finnigan genes then! The 20 week measurement was around the waist and rib cage and the 19 week measurement was around the head. Although as she did point out, that is not related to the brain size and "daddy has a small head and it has not held him back!!" - feel free to add your own comments here. I am quite liking the idea of a baby with a small head though!!
We have also managed to have a bit of a sort out and have started making moves to change the study into a nursery. The cable men have been out and moved the internet box out of the study and we have moved the desk and computer out of the room. So hopefully now we have some space we might start doing some shopping for bubs. As yet baby has a box so far that all of its scan pictures and things are kept in and that is the sum total of what we have bought - I feel a shopping trip coming on soon!!
