Finally plucked up the courage to do a pregnancy test. Very definitely positive result. We are both very excited, although slightly scared. Realised I might need to regsiter with a doctor now!! Found a nice doctors and went to register and amazingly got an appointment there and then (this is Hong Kong!) After going through my symptoms - constantly needing a wee, funny taste in mouth and extreme tiredness, the doctor agreed that it sounded as though i was pregnant. One pregnancy test later and what seemed like a long wait whilst i was waiting for the nurse to come in and say "erm actually you have made it all up!" the test came back positive - yeah!!! We are going to have a baby - guesstimate due date 13th January 2008.

- This is the blog site of the McGoverns. It started off with Emma & Michael, we met in Aberystwyth and married in August 2004. We moved to Hong Kong in January 2007 and upon finding out we were expecting a baby the following year we set up a blog for friends and family at home to follow. Upon the arrival of Baby McGovern on 24th January 2008, we set up the blog Eleanor McGovern to tell of her adventures in Hong Kong and Singapore. We moved back to the UK in March 2010 and left the blog behind. However, with the arrival of a new baby McGovern (Matilda on 18th January 2011) and a realisation that our travels have left us with friends all over the globe we need to keep in touch with, as well as family that whilst nearer are still too far away - we have a new blog to start!

Well although the post is from Emma and I it pretty clear to see who worte it, although i agree with all the sentiments. what we should be asking of people is what names they think we should choose. My favourite for a girl was Myfanwy from the Character in the Aberystwyth Mon Amor books. However, i knew thi would never be accepted especially since the bar maid in Little Britain is called that. For a boy i always thought Wayne or Christiano sounded good but again not likely to happen naming after the man Utd team or any other sports for that matter. Therefore let us know your thoughts and i will try and put a poll on our home page.
